At Al Ghurair we have projects implementation running across for 120+ legal entity and scope is expanding through multitude of business sectors, including Masonry, Foods, Properties, Projects, Education, Taxi, Automotive, Facilities Management, Print, Power etc.
As an integral member of our solutions delivery team, the Project Manager is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and tracking the project/program plan, detailed at an activity level, covering all dimensions of resource capacity, timelines, scope and cost.
The Project Manager is also responsible to manage internal and external stakeholder communications and alignment with respect to setting expectations on tasks, activities and deliverables, dependencies, action tracking, managing risks and issues. He/she will also be responsible in leading and managing daily huddles, weekly macros/status update meetings and project steering committees – This also includes creating and publishing decks for these as required, meeting minutes, etc.
He/she will be expected to drive collaboration and co-ordination among the functional, technical and broader IT teams, also with vendors, to ensure adherence to planned activities. He/she is expected to work closely with the IT Business Partners to ensure complete sync in terms of approach, plan, timelines, schedules, activities, resources and dependencies and support PMO function.
Key Accountabilities
    •    Manage project plans in line with the agreed approach, team structures and implementation schedules.
    •    Manage risks, issues and dependencies that may impact one or more projects. High early and create mitigation plans as required.
    •    Thought leadership in structuring and creating/compiling steering committee decks, owning executive level updates, etc., aligned with the IT Business Partners
    •    Managing project delivery for waterfall, agile and hybrid projects across the entire project lifecycle – Initiation, planning, execution / realization, testing, go live and support.
    •    Recommend optimized usage of tools/process improvements to aid overall team productivity.
    •    Reuse templates across projects and identify accelerators to ensure smooth and quick execution of subsequent projects.
    •    Creating and managing activity-level project plans
    •    Manage & Track project financials a& resource utilization across the projects managed and provide governance and control for projects running under PMO and supporting PMO in tracking & reporting.
    •    Understanding of project management& change management process and alignment of same.
    •    Prepare, monitor and track activity & milestone-based project plans.
    •    Drive collaboration and co-ordination across cross-functional teams, clearly setting expectations on tasks and activities, assignments, timelines and dependencies.
    •    Manage vendor communications, alignment and dependencies across the project delivery lifecycle.
    •    Manage operational and strategic risks and issues, applicable at a project or program level. Create mitigation plans as applicable.
    •    Lead and manage daily huddles, weekly macros/status update meetings and project steering committees – Includes creating and publishing decks, compiling meeting minutes, tracking actions, etc.
    •    Record and update decisions register, risk register, action register, etc.
    •    Support and align with the IT Business Partner and Applications team with overall program delivery, approach, schedules, monitoring, and execution.
    •    Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision – Should be independent in terms of driving the project delivery.
    •    Ability to manage multiple priorities and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
    •    Co-ordinating with various internal and external stakeholders across project delivery
    •    Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects
    •    Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external and customer teams.
    •    Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
    •    Ability to plan, organize, and structure work (WBS)
    •    Adept at working in an agile / hybrid delivery environment with alignment to Project management methodology.
    •    Proficient in resource and effort estimations, scoping and analysis
    •    Oversee entire process of configuring applications, from design to implementation, testing and delivery of products.
    •    Excellent documentation skills
    •    Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
    •    Experience in creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
    •    Competency in Microsoft applications including Project Online / MS Projects, MS Visio, Word, Excel & Outlook and Azure DevOps
    •    Hands-on experience with managing agile deliveries / sprints on DevOps based environments and tools.
    •    Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
    •    Work collaboratively with a team encompassing many different backgrounds and experience levels.
    •    Upskill and mentor existing IT team throughout the implementation journey.
    •    Motivate team members to maintain excellence in service delivery and have opportunities for professional development.
    •    Support Project Management Office (PMO) to define and maintain the Project Management standards and practices throughout the group.
    •    Support the identification and evaluation of process to identify improvement opportunities within project management function.
    •    Identify opportunities for business process optimization/standardization, process re-engineering and process design to achieve business goals
Education and Technical Certifications
    •    Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Information System or Engineering
    •    PMP certified.
    •    Scrum Master certified
Knowledge and Skill
    •    Ability to Manage and govern initiatives across Portfolio and do Portfolio planning and Portfolio roadmap.
    •    Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and practices, including Azure and DevOps
    •    ITILv3/4 certification or experience working with the methodology.
    •    Experience of using the Test Plan capabilities in Azure DevOps to manage testing.
    •    Experience of overseeing QA across programs, including setting up and managing -Integration Testing, Non-Functional Testing and Acceptance testing
    •    Knowledge of project & Change management with financial budget tracking is important and must have.
    •    Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks.
    •    Projects & portfolio tracking and RAG , risk, KPI & KRI reporting – Risk mitigation tracking & closure.
    •    Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
Experience
    •    Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience hands on experience delivering Projects in retail industry or banking as a project manager
    •    Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience proven experience delivering projects on time and in budget .
